Easy, normal, hard modes

Would it be possible to switch between easy, normal, and hard modes? I'm on normal and cannot perstege skills and I can't get good drops. I heard hard mode gives a higher chance of good drops. I'm kinda stuck in normal mode and don't want to start all over
